Summary

Thank you!

At the end of a fantastic and action packed two and a half day conference my Chairmanship came to an end. I’ve been immensely proud of what the club achieved over the course of the last 12 months, with the highest number of young people ever to attend the conference and some of the best audience/speaker engagement I’ve seen.

The world class speakers from research, industry and farming were truly inspirational for all that attended.

Covering subjects from breeding post 2020, genomic developments in the beef industry, gene editing and inspiring the next generation to get involved in our fantastic industry. There really was something for everyone!

The feedback from attendees, sponsors and speakers was one of positivity and enjoyment, very much the vibe the British Cattle Breeders Club strives to promote.

I personally would like to thank everyone that attended over the course of the two and a half days, thank you for your enthusiasm, participation and support.

In conclusion, the club owes a huge debt of gratitude to Heidi Bradbury, our club secretary and also our fantastic sponsors and speakers, without them, there would be no conference, or club! I wish my successor, Anya Westland every success for the coming year, I have no doubt the 2019 conference will go off with a bang!

If you’ve never attended the conference or haven’t been for a few years, make sure you put Monday 21st – Wednesday 23rd January 2019 in your diary, it really will be a great couple of days and if you’re wondering what you’ve missed, take a look at this year’s conference presentations on talking slides, kindly sponsored by Mole Valley Farmers, which can be
